I am a cultural anthropologist with experience combining historical and ethnographic research methods with political theory. I am currently a Visiting Research Scholar at The Graduate Center, CUNY. My research concerns nationalist political conflict, including the Western Sahara conflict, decolonization across northwest Africa, transnational human rights activism, and surveillance.
